La Crosse Technology's 616-143 projection alarm clock allows you to view the outside temperature from the comfort of your home. The projected outdoor temperature and atomic time are easily viewable on your ceiling or wall, thanks to the adjustable focus and direction. This clock displays accurate time and date, along with the current moon phase, even in the dark, with a blue backlight that can be activated on demand with a simple button press.
The atomic time feature is accurate to the second and offers a selection of 7 different time zones. The clock also automatically adjusts for daylight saving time, so you don't have to worry about it. The corded electric clock comes with the option to add 3 AAA alkaline batteries (not included) to ensure power during any outages.
Included with the clock is a weather-resistant temperature sensor that can transmit outdoor measurements to the clock within a 330ft (100m) range. The clock can project the alternating time and outdoor temperature onto a wall or ceiling, with an on/off switch to control this feature. The blue backlight display can also be activated on demand, providing temporary illumination.
The clock monitors both indoor and wireless outdoor temperature (in Fahrenheit or Celsius) using the included weather-resistant sensor. It features an atomic self-set accurate time and date with automatic daylight saving time reset, along with 7 time zone selections. The calendar display shows the month, date, weekday, and moon phase icons.
To power the clock, a 5V power adapter cord is required. There is also an optional backup using 3 AAA alkaline batteries (not included) in case of power loss. The wireless sensor operates on 2 AA batteries (not included).
Constructed with a plastic material, the clock has an indoor temperature range of 32°F to 122°F (0°C to 52°C) and an outdoor temperature range of -20°F to 140°F (-40°C to 60°C). To activate the sensor signal search, the user can hold the +/TEMP button for 3 seconds.
